The Santiago Solar solar photovoltaic plant is located in Til Til, Región Metropolitana, 50 km north of Santiago.

The co-owners are EDF Renewables Chile and AME.

The plant has an installed capacity of 115 MW with a generation capacity of renewable energy of approx. 200 GWh per year, enough for the annual supply of 90.000 households, avoiding the emission of 190.000 tons of CO2.

The solar plant represents a surface of 200 ha and consists of 358.700 polycristalline modules with a fixed structure.

The energy generated is carried through subterranean 33 kV cables towards the 110/33 kV “Santiago Solar” substation located on the site.

EDF Renewables Chile is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the plant.

Santiago Solar is the biggest solar photovoltaic plant in the Metropolitan Region, making it a point of interest for site visits (students-engineers, schools, embassies, etc.)
